The Loiyangalani Trust has been set up principally to provide resources for the school.
An additional aim is to provide financial support at the secondary level for poor children whose achievement in the primary school has been above average.

The Loiyangalani Trust has been set up by a group of volunteers based in a small village in West Sussex.
One of the group has visited Loiyangalani on several occasions getting to know some of the people particularly well.
On his most recent visit in early 2009 it became very apparent that much could be done to help the local community financially.
Loiyangalani is so far north of Nairobi that it receives very little regular support from other larger charities.
The school is run by a very enthusiastic group of teachers but they are very short of resources.
The children are very keen to do well at school as in many cases education is their only hope for a better future. |
